My father's cats waited patiently by the mounds where they heard sounds. Catch the mole, eat the mole. Not a solution for everyone but he lived in the country and already had well-fed cats who loved to hunt.

If you mean ground moles, I heard you can put human hair cuttings down in the holes. Maybe see if a local barber or salon can save you some. I never tried it but I had a friend ask me for hair from my salon I did not honor that request as I was too busy working two jobs and going to college to get with her at the time.
They hate mothballs- try sprinkling them in their holes. Good luck :)
