I did the same thing in a small camper. The four totes I used filled the space without any additional work because the bunk already has a lip all around which held the mattress in place. If you need additional keepers for the base of the totes you can use what ever wood scapes that fit with liquid nails to secure them. If you want to stack totes you can use bungee cords and screw down pad eyes where needed. I hope this helps.
