This week a large Bougainvillea shrub died, attached is a picture. This summer I lost tomato plants, various plants. I’ve been putting a mixture of Castol syrup and some Dawn dish soap in a gallon of water but I’m still loosing plants. And when I do plant I place the roots in wire mesh, and use mole killer

Why did you use that mixture? When you planted did you add any amendments to the soil?

It was on Hometalk as a solution to he prevent some mole problems as they don’t like the taste of Castro oil.

When i plant I only use a wire basket and put in mole poison nothing else ❗️

Trying to figure out what is chewing off at ground level as you can see in the picture where they chewed through

May have a ground bug, I use the cigarette tea method take 2 cigarettes. Take the tobacco and bring to a boil let set til cool then used this mixed with water to look like very light tea

Spray your plants and saturte the soil around th doesn't hurt your plants but kills aphids etc.

Could be frost for the bougainvillea, or you could also be over watering. That is the number one cause! Never use nicotine on tomatoes! Will kill it for sure.

I would get your soil tested to see what needs to be added.

Definitely do not use the cigarette tea anywhere near tomatoes. You will end up with tobacco virus and it will kill them, I think that there may be another veggie that is affected by that also.

I live in Alaska. More wild berries than you can count.

This year? Not as many, brown spots on all the leaves, like acid rain.

If you go up under the leaves, into the bushes, they looked normal, berries were there.

I’ve concluded it is the Chemtrails.

If you don’t know what that is, research it (Scott Stevens, Weatherwars.Org) Legal to test chemicals on the general population (public law 105-85- see book- “bulletproof”); the government has been spraying for years, multiple chemicals, changes the weather.

    It’s getting worse.

Look up, watch the plants for a few days after...

Moles do not chew plants they go after grubs. It may be voles chewing the roots of the plants
