Use plant stands,go vertical with a pallet or a ladder
Container gardening is fun. You can plant plants in just about anything. Other than planters you can use old watering cans, a toaster or an old boot.
Buy over the fence planters, some hang over some are made to fit right on the rail. Also there are a lot of vertical planters you can buy to save space. Have fun!
Pots! I lived in a condo for a couple years at one point, my balcony was filled with pots full of plants. I was directly across from the parking garage rooftop tennis courts, so it also provided privacy. I have a couple small trees and anything else that I could grow in a pot. Herbs, flowers and veggies.
Hang some pots, get tiered plant stands, window boxes along the rails, there are many ways to get all the plants you want to put in.
