Just make sure the wall you plan to remove is not a load bearing wall. Ask a professional if you have to.
make sure it isn't a bearing wall before you start job.
First you need to determine if the wall is load bearing (holding up your roof/second floor).... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4cIvUnrnyM&t=2s
Then I would do an exploratory hole of two to see if there is electrical wiring and plumbing, or HVAC in the walls cause that can be expensive to get it moved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SNgBjdf8d0

Before you have a ball with your demo day, like is shown on TV, be planned and prepared as to how you are going to refinish both the top- ceiling, and the bottom-flooring where the wall used to be attached.
Also be planned and prepared as to how you are going to dispose of the heavy pieces of drywall, lumber, etc. and clean up the mess.
If it has electrical outlets turn off power to them. I cut drywall chunks out w saw then w wonder bar pry off studs. Saw studs and remove. Not easy. If electric in wall electrician should remove.
Before you do anything - make sure it is NOT a load bearing wall. Then start small. Remove the wallboard with a claw hammer then the wood frame underneath. Since you are on oxygen, please wear a mask!
