I have 2 bifold doors in my hallway 1 coat closet 1 food pantry that I hate.
No answer..same problem..watching for ideas.
Do you have sufficient depth to your closet that you could move the rod (where you hang your clothes) back an inch or two? They're pretty easy to move.
Try moving the bar that you hang your clothes on back a few inches.
If there is depth behind your clothes it would be much more economical to move the clothes rod back a bit. Otherwise you'll need to rebuild the wall the doors are in.
I agree with everyone. If you have the room moving the rod back is simple and easy. Otherwise you can move the top track and bottom pivots out. This involves removing the doors, trim, unscrewing the top track, removing the bottom pivot brackets, relocating them outward, and reinstalling the doors. Looks like you have about 2" to play with.
