Sometimes if you put a little nail polish remover on a cotton swab and rub it into the burn mark until the discoloration disappears.
Nail polish remover could also remove the more of the table's finish. I don't know about your table but I've seen furniture scarred from nail polish.
How about setting a decorative bowl over the marred spot?
