DIY Vintage Light Fixture

Here is an easy and more fun way to add more vintage to your home. You could take it for more of an elegant look, or a more industrial by choosing different style of frames.
When we moved into our 1904 craftsman, there was a stairway light that was from the early 90's (that's my guess anyways). Anyways, I wanted it to be updated, but I didn't want to mess with wires.
I removed a glass light shade that looked something like the one above.
I put some think paper behind the fixture and sprayed it gold, and then took off that glass shade and added an Edison bulb. Such an easy and low cost change!
