Julie on Mar 26, 2014I would think the answer is yes. I've been doing thrift store picture frames (some made of metal), brass lamps, and lots of other materials with chalk paint and haven't had a fail yet. I agree with Beverly...make your own! I've never used the professional kind so I can't compare the two, but homemade works very well at a really low cost. I should mention to be sure and wax afterwards to set the paint, and also that I haven't done any of the above-mentioned projects for everyday handling, so I don't know if they would stand up to that.
