Has anyone used Home Depot's Chalk Paint. I have watched the video on Annie Sloans paint. The price of Home Depot's is half of Annie Sloans. Thank you

Home depot doesn't have "Chalk" Paint. I believe it was Annie Sloan who coined the term "Chalk Paint". You can make a Chalk like paint using any plain paint. Is that what you mean?

Actually Home Depot does sell a chalk paint. I have not tried it. I make my own using unsanded grout added to any latex paint. You can find several recipes for it on Pinterest. But the Home Depot price is certainly good and the next time I need to paint a piece of furniture I will certainly give it a try! I would think you should be fine. Annie Sloan is waaayyy to pricey for my taste!

  @Sally Pagel I was so excited to find out Home Depot had their own chalk paint and some wonderful colors. I was all set and went to get some but it can only be ordered on line. I think I will take a chance and get some. Agree Annie Sloan is too expensive.

What is true chalk paint? I live in Canada and cannot purchase this in Home Depot :-(

  @Sandra Millar I know that the brand by Annie Sloan is widely used but expensive. Home Depot carries it but here where I live it can only be purchased on the internet. Home Depot's chalk paint is very reasonable in price and I'm going to try it. I was hoping someone had already tried it but no one has replied so far.
