Thrifted Lamp Makeover
by

I found a lamp at a thrift store that was not really pretty but, had a good shape and was in great shape. So, I took it home and proceeded to give it a little makeover.
This is the before. The lamp was only $5 and the lampshade was a seaprate purchase at only $1. Not a bad score... but I was not in love with it....
So, hubby spray painted the base a beautiful Valspar blue.
Then I used DIY white chalkpaint to paint the lampshade and this is the outcome.... a beautiful lamp that fits in our decor perfectly.....
Enjoyed the project?

Barbara R on Apr 24, 2014I spray painted my lamp shades and they came out great...except they diffuse the light alot after painted (which was okay, because now I can't see the bulb through it lol)...pretty lamp!
