Found & Fancied Goods on Mar 30, 2014Yes, there are two ways that I've done. Each you can do with just one color or different shades of the same color to give a more aged look to your item. 1. As others say, dilute it with water. Depending on whether it's homemade or namebrand chalkpaint you may still want to sand a bit. This method tends to have more of a brush stroke effect. 2. Paint on the chalk paint in no more than 3 sq ft sections. Wait approx 5 minutes, then gently go over it with a clean wet rag. This gives a smooth wash appearance and shows less of a brush stroke effect.Helpful Reply
