Debra on Mar 30, 2014Perhaps monogram the chefs initials on the top of the case would be nice. The tool for doing this is inexpensive and can be found at most craft stores.Helpful Reply

Barbara Sawyer on Mar 30, 2014I like the idea of velvet to line the inside. But I am stumped trying to think of hardware to hold the cutlery in place and not drill any holes in the back. Perhaps you could check out other display cases used in stores.Helpful Reply

Duv310660 on Mar 30, 2014I'm a huge fan of a weathered or driftwood look. A darkish stain, followed by some dry brushing of creamy white to give you those warm greys. I could totally see this with an understated monogram (use a drop shadow to emphasize the depth of the finish you have created). Top it with a satin wax. Is it an old family heirloom? - no! Raise the lid to reveal your sparkling flatware inside!Helpful Reply

Terra Gazelle on Mar 30, 2014Maybe insert foam rubber into the box and cut out in shape to hold the silverware. Place the velvet over it gluing it into the silverware spaces and around the edges. On the front place the name of your business done in a unique script. Place a thin wire across the front of the box tightly stapled on the sides of the box as close to the bottom as possible. You can slip the silver ware in and out of the box without any problems. Paint the box to go with the velvet...or the colors of your business.Helpful Reply
