Sedum. Mine is called Autumn Joy. Blooms are green during summer, turn pinkish, then by fall deep red. I leave them uncut over the winter to add some interest to the dreary garden and cut off in spring. Can easily be split in spring.

@Hollye Draves All this plant needs is good drainage. Sedum are a type of succulent. If you feed it anything at all I would use something that is used for cacti and succulents only. The flowers will come every year and die off like the ones in your picture and the sedum will easily spread if left alone. They thrive on neglect and don't need a lot of water. In fact, over watering this one would be killing it with kindness and not do it much good! Hope this helps.

If you want to propagate it, just pull off a leaf and stick it in the soil in your garden. They root very easily. They look very nice en masse in the fall with fall blooming grasses. This is the only thing in my deer resistant garden that I have to protect from the hungry, grazing beasts. They don't eat the flowers but they happily gobble down the leaves and stems.
