Revamp a Lamp With Spray Paint

Suzanne
by Suzanne
This old lamp and drab shade needed a breath of new life! This photo is in color...not black and white! I guess you could say this room needs some color.
Remove the shade and bulb. Tape off the top of the lamp and the cord.
Pick a can of spray paint in your favorite color. Simply spray on in a fluid motion. Multiple light coats of paint is best.
I used a glossy Krylon paint in Bahama Sea. The gloss finish adds a modern touch.
Looks so much better already! Now for the shade...
A sweet new shade from Target with a stitched leaf pattern in blue and green. Just the perfect pop of color for that corner. Easy and done in about 2 hours. Read the full post on my blog! Cheers!

This is so cool! Such a small pop of color, yet it makes a BIG difference in the room! Good for you!

I have a pair of candlestick lamps, and thought about using them in my bedroom now will paint them out and use them there. Thanks for the idea.
