Judy on Apr 02, 2014I do potted plants in my flower beds and around the house. I don't have any photos, but I buy big pots and paint them. Any color you like, brightens up your flower beds or garden, I then plant 2 to 4 plants in each pot. You can put little figures in them too. I guess you could say I have a pot garden. lol However, when a plant dies or I don't like it. it is so much easier to change it if it is in a pot. Plus, you can put them in your green house or garage and save them through the winter.Helpful Reply

The Garden Frog with C Renee on Apr 02, 2014Are you trying to use plants or other materials? You must be in a flood zone? It would help to have more information and maybe even a picture.Helpful Reply

The Garden Frog with C Renee on Apr 07, 2014What about using lattice or even a wood frame with wire and grow vines? There are evergreen vines if you are in your zone of 8a. I would think about even mixing and matching with Clematis, Jasmine, Passion vine (go to your local garden center and see what vines they have in). As for looking like stone, that could accomplished by even building a rock wall part way up and using the lattice the rest of the way up. Dry stacking flat or fairly flat rocks is not hard to do but it can be time consuming but will be worth it for the look. Are you in an area where you can walk and pick up rocks? Rocks are not that expensive if you can go go to the quarry with a truck. I hope this gives you a start to more ideas. Good luckHelpful Reply

Kathryn Denny on Oct 11, 2015I junked a bunch of old picket fence panels and I am using the pickets to cover the open area under my porch I use the gothic top down to where I measure I should cut it and nail gun it on so it looks like s small fence. I plan to paint it white when I paint my porch and house next spring. It is very cute and a good back drop for landscaping.Helpful Reply
