    Thanks for the detailed and varied information. I plan on using the recommended plants in my garden this year for a natural guard against pests (both mosquitos and the squash bugs that invaded my garden last year) and add a bat house to my yard. I think my son will enjoy watching the bats hunt in the evening. I agree that using multiple layers of protection/prevention are more useful than just caving to the 'easier' route of chemicals. I usually buy Lady Bugs for my roses in my front yard and Praying Mantis for my back yard garden as natural bug predators but these other ideas are great too and I plan on using most of them!
