Can anyone recommend a small, inexpensive rototiller?

I need one just for raised garden beds. Nothing big and bulky, because I have to lift it into the beds.

My husband just bought an "Earthwise" on Amazon. It was around 100 bucks...on sale right now. He loves it . It is electric and he can't say enough good things about it. We have had a lot of problems with gas powered yard tools due to the unleaded gas. We learned the hard way that you can't leave gas in them over the winter months. This electric tiller is much easier to start, too!

Consider using the "claw" or a cultivator instead. They will get just as deep to plant seeds and to weed. Raised beds with the right soil do not need to be turned after the first deep digging. No till is better because every time you stir/turn the soil you are bring up weed seeds to the top three inches where they germinate. Seeds like fine loose soil to germinate. Plants like moisture holding compacted soil for the roots. Deep digging; not what you read/heard! In soil with clay, loosening and mixing compost deep leaves a sink under your beds to hold moisture. A raised bed on top of unturned rocky or clay soil allows the water to leave without soaking in.
