Did It Work?
Beach sunstreak look for the paint with driftwood look stained top.
Now IDK? What do you guys think? Finish or sand down and do something different on top.

Redeemwood on Apr 03, 2014Is the top that shiny or is it still a touch wet? I think that same color would look cool in a super no gloss matt finish. But that's just me!Helpful Reply

Pat Dollar on Apr 04, 2014Just an idea: The way the top of this table looks the inside portion of the top could also be faux finished to look like marble or granite. Tape off the outside edge then use multicolor acrylic paints using a sea sponge. Sand smooth then poly coat. I am attaching a picture of a similar application I did on a dresser top.Helpful Reply

Wendy on Apr 05, 2014It doesn't matter if we like it....what's most important is whether you like it! If you are asking the question I suspect you aren't 100% satisfied with the result. Sometimes if you let things sit for awhile an idea will come to you for a redo or the piece will grow on you. It looks to me like you have a few creative bones in your body :-)Helpful Reply

Denise Rankin on Apr 05, 2014The only thing I would change is to paint the outer edges blue like the rest of the table. Sort of a water's edge with a beach in between. You did a wonderful job. You did indeed achieve the look you were going for. Congratulations!Helpful Reply
