I recently took a trip to our local thrift stores and flea markets just for something to do and came out with an eclectic collection of botanical prints all for under $50! I was so excited! I have come across prints like these at places like Ballard Designs, Lamps Plus, Pottery Barn and even Walmart for outrageous prices. They start at around $50 and go up to $400 plus. These were in perfect condition. Not to mention they were framed and matted. I also scored a beautiful book of Herbs full of vibrant prints that I framed. I did paint a few of the frames that were dated and changed out some of my Audubon prints for botanical prints on my gallery wall.
I have a Audubon gallery wall and changed a few of my bird pictures out for some vibrant floral prints.
These were just beautiful but the frame was a very ugly yellow dirty looking frame. I sanded it down a bit and did a layering effect of white, bronze, and green.
The collection of prints I found.
Found this adorable little plate at the Goodwill. I had the white frames already with bird prints in them. Since these were so bright and airy I felt they would be perfect for the spring and summer months.
This has to be my favorite find! Nothing about it needed fixing and it was GREEN, my favorite color I hung this one in my kitchen.
This book is from 1982 and filled with such gorgeous prints. I framed a few for my living room.
This print was so cute but the frame was not doing it any justice. Like the floral prints I sanded it down and did the same layering effect.
These were just to cute to pass up. They are very small and match my wall color wonderfully.
