Make this cute Easter sign wih a scarap of wood and a some craft paint. I was uninspired by an ester egg project that was due the next day. I kept thinking about the bunny phrase "somebunny loves you" and how cute I could make a pinted bunny. Finally, I tossed my eggs aside, grabbed this piece of scrap wood and got to work. Read on to see how I made it. If you need a template to trce, I have a free downloadable one on my post.
I've used my buny Easter sign over and over in so many places.
Start by painting a board. I used a scrap of wood headboard from a bench project I made and covered it with chalkpaint I had from another project.
Print the bunny template out on plain paper and position it on your board.
I used grapite paper from Michaels to transfer the image onto the wood. Use a little tape to hold the graphite paper and your template in place, then simply trace the outline onto your painted board. You'll have a clear outline to follow and paint. Almost as easy as paint by numbers!
When I finished the bunny and words, I thought the sign still needed a little something. I added a little white around his feet and then painted green edges at the top and bottom with little flowers in pink.
It was the perfect touch! I sealed my bunny sign with a coat of clear wax and buffed it. Any sealer will work if you don't have wax.
I think it looks great and best of all, one of my favorite Easter decorations was free!
