It was time to start adding spring to our house. I took my thrift shop supplies and made a new spring wreath for only $5.
My new Spring wreath
I started with this thrift shop wreath
Then, I removed all the flowers so that I was left with the bare grapevine wreath
I started with adding the large flowers spaced the whole way around the wreath. I bought all of these flowers at the thrift shops. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out.
I kept adding in flowers here and there just to get a basic feel for the structure of the wreath.
Then I added more flowers in between the large flowers for some color, but it just wasn't looking right to me. Making wreaths is always a trial and error process in my house.
So, I removed the flowers from over half to get a look more like this....almost finished
I added a few more small flowers for the finished product --- here's a close up of the flowers
I love the finished product! It really stands out on our brown door and welcomes guests and Spring!
