Another Thrift Haul

We are truly addicted to thrift stores. The thrill of scoring some beautiful things at great prices is quite addictive!
This week we have a great vintage lamp with a cast and brass base and a white milk glass shade. Picked this one up for $10.
We also have a great set of silver rimmed crystal cocktail glasses. A set of eight for $3.99, can't beat that.
Next up we have a set of Ballonoff tin canisters. The set of four cost $10.
And finally a great black iron and glass vase for $1.99.
Happy thrifting everyone!

Marion Nesbitt on May 17, 2014Thanks for the pic. Like it better without the shade - simpler lines - and hope you can get a soft bulb.

R&B on Apr 18, 2015Wow, the things I learn on this website! Many years ago I bought a table lamp, on Ebay, very similar to this one. Mine only has the milk glass shade and I had no idea there was supposed to be another shade over it. Now it makes sense. I always liked the lamp but sometimes thought it looked too much like a pipe with a bowl on top. Mine is made of copper and a soft shade over it will make a huge difference. I found all the parts at this website http://www.antiquelampco.com/Catalog/Diffusers.htm Thanks so much for the information.
