@Sandy you can paint them all the same color as the house and they will blend in better.

I agree with Lu Ann...if you paint them the same color as your home they won't stand out so bad. if you want them to stand out a bit, leave the roofs rusty, which I think has great appeal and paint the sheds to look like something. Maybe books, or dominoes or something along those lines. Just an idea, but whatever you do, have fun!!!

I would also paint them the same color. If you are feeling artsy you can paint flowers, vines, etc. or get a stencil and go crazy. I have seen fences painted with flowers on them.

Do you have shutters on your house? If so, maybe you can paint the sheds the color of the shutters. It would compliment the house without being too "match y". I have seen this done with sheds that had windows with shutters. The colors were flip flopped. The colors on the house matched the shutters on the shed. The colors on the shed matched the shutters on the house. It looked very pulled together without looking like a con vine.

Paint is the easiest answer. Unify the look of the sheds with paint that either matches your house exactly or compliments your house colors (using lighter or darker shades). You could also add siding (vinyl or wood), shingles (made from new wood or pallet wood), corrugated aluminum siding or the manufactured fiber board 8' x 4' sheets of exterior 'siding' available at your local Big Box Hardware store. Make them look like individual Victorian Cottages or Fairy/Hobbit/Nome Houses. You could also wrap them in exterior bamboo or reed fencing for a 'beachy' look, with tiki torch lighting and hawaiian themed accessories. Decorative plantings can help camouflage the sheds. Add planters, lattice, lawn art or a gazebo to help hide them. You could also use them as a backdrop for a patio. Hang a faux window with a window box planter on the side. Use them as shade structures or a backdrop for a rock garden or raised planting beds (for flowers or veggies). The possibilities are only limited by your imagination and pocketbook.
