New multi color flagstone landscape edging job. One continuous piece of concrete never shifts or rots!

Looks great! I have been thinking about new edging for the landscaping. A couple of older jobs in my neighborhood where the trees have grown and the roots have lifted and broken the concrete. Is there a way to address tree root growth issues?

Correct the design is flagstone but the border is is concrete.

Kevin - the person laying out the job should have made the tree ring larger depending on the type of tree allowing for growth sometimes you can't avoid this though. Root's shifting the curb generally doesn't happen for years and an average tree ring cost around $105.00 You can also take the roots out with a saw or ax if you find one heading towards your curb! I also cut my control joints ...»

shallow so that it's tougher for the curb to shift and use 2 additives to increase the PSI of the concrete.
