We took our dated room (covered in wallpaper and drapes from the 80s) and transformed it into a bedroom that we love to hangout in.

Before and After: Dated wallpaper and drapes to calm and fresh.

The woven bamboo blinds, the penny tiled garden table and sunburst mirror were all DIY projects.

The plant stand is just an old one from our shed that we updated by adding a plywood top. On top of the plywood, we laid penny tile and grouted it for a fresh look.

You can't hide the television, but I added a gallery wall behind it to distract the eye. It also allowed me to add more pictures and sentimental artwork to our room - which I love.

Where did you get that rug at? Also, would love to see a close up of the yellow chair.

  @Stacy We got the rug from RugsUSA. The yellow is actually a footstool that I recovered. If you go to the blog link above then you can get a clear view of it. Thanks!
