So I found this ugly duckling of a lamp at a flea market. For a bucket it was a steal, although it looked as if I should have paid to guy just to take it off his hands.
But that old light got repurposed into five different projects. This floating tea light holder is one of them.
Do you recognize it?
It is part of the lampshade.
Such an easy and fun little DIY and that lantern is so easy to change and decorate through the seasons.

I cut of part of the metal lampshade and twisted the arms so they ould hug a glass vase.
Extra wide tea lights happended to fit just right.
Lighting the tea light is so easy, because I can just lift it out of the vase.
Here you see what part of the lampshade I used to make this tea light holder.
