Mysterious marble bust

My mother purchased this marble bust 50 some years ago at an auction in a very affluent area. The artist's name is carved in the back and as near as I can tell it is Prof. L Francenlanci? I have been unable to find any information on the artist or piece. Can anyone help?

It is very hard to see the signature so I will show the best pencil rubbing I could get. She has such pretty detail in her scarf but , like the signature, it is hard to see.

I have this same statue. I bought it 50 years ago". I have broken it and put it back together several times. A few years ago I found another one at a garage sale The first one I had was all cream color the one I have now is a ugly color someday I will reduce it. I am getting ready to move so I am not sure if it is packed yet. Tomorrow I will look and if I can find it will look on the bottom. I don't remember ever seeing anything tho. Mary Harless
