SK's Old Headboard Bench.

SK on Elderberry
by SK on Elderberry
The late 1800's childs size headboard was given to me by a neighbor. I wish I had more pictures. But I failed to take any before's.
The actual headboard was precious and I didn't want to ruin it's intrinsic value. So we built a box which the headboard legs just slide down into. This makes it very easy to remove without ruining the original headboard.
The pine box was actually built around the legs. We didn't use any glue or nails on the headboard.
The entry had this one empty wall. The bench was made to exactly fit this spot. sk
It's very seldom used as an actual bench. As you can see I clutter it up so that no one actually sits here. Love places to display cool stuff. sk
