DIY Staircase Makeover

$50

Easy
I can't believe the difference from how this staircase used to look.
First, I removed the carpet - easy enough!
Then I used a crow bar and hammer to remove the tack strips - not too bad!
Even removing the staples wasn't as bad as I had feared!
The difference is amazing. I wish I had done it sooner. For less than $50 I have a clean, bright, updated staircase that was a lot easier to do than I thought it would be.
