Betty Perrault on Apr 09, 2014if you want to do the entire desk you might think about "sticky paper", wall paper, etc. You could use paint the way people redo a metal filing cabinet. Glue one larger section with burlap and paint the drawers. keeps things from rolling off? Any cloth can be glued on. Hardware stores can suggest finishes with texture if you wish. Then paint a design on top of the texture. Have you looked on the internet ? I have one of those desks and I've kept mine the way it was issued. But dressing it up sounds like fun ! Good luck.Helpful Reply

Moxie on Apr 09, 2014I would stencil it...I did a metal file cabinet and it turned out great. Just put a few coats of poly sealer on it when you done and it will hold up. : ) Have fun with it whatever you do! Betty - I love the burlap idea!Helpful Reply
