Use Salvaged Elements for a Unique Look

This project required a double sided screw and an old finial. The finial was once attached to a piece of furniture, but when I found the finial it was no longer attached to the original piece of furniture.
I found an old finial decided to use it to make a unique towel holder.
First I drilled a hole in the finial, then screwed one end of the screw in the finial, then screwed it into a stud.
It took about 5 minutes and now I have a place to put my towel and a conversation piece.
Here's a look at the clawfoot tub in the room. I thought the antique finial was in keeping with the remainder of the room.
Enjoyed the project?

Elizabeth Dwyer Simpson on Apr 27, 2014I call my claw foot an olympic size of bathtubs . Your's appears to be in excelent condition. I wish I could say the same for mine. I agree the finial is in keeping with the bathtub and the era it is from. I also like the decorative table adding a touch of casual elegance. Plants, especially flowering plants, add so much to any room or place.
