Old Deck Wood Laundry Crate

When you need somewhere to store your laundry but don't have money...what do you do? Well find some cool wood and build it for basically free!! I build this for my sister out of old deck wood and not only is it functional but super cute!! The only money I spent was for wheels and the Rusteloum's weathered grey stain, so I could match the plywood pieces to the deck wood. Check out my blog for a full tutorial!
Taking apart old deck wood, which I got for free off of Utah's KSL classifieds.
First I built some frames for the sides and middle support for the crate, these were joined with pocket holes and pocket hole screws.
Next I attached them along with some back supports to some scrap plywood, again using pocket holes.
Once I stained the plywood, added basket glides and feet I was done!

I love the rustic feel! The top was sealed with three coats of poly and is used as a laundry folding table! Perfect for any laundry room!

This is a great idea which could easily be adapted for outdoor garden use to hold crates of potting soil, mulch etc. Thanks for the inspiration and instructions!
