Replanted piece....did I do it right?
-
Lavende on Apr 17, 2014The larger piece looks good, it should start sprouting roots in a couple of weeks if you water correctly. For the smaller pieces, I'd suggest laying them on their side instead of pushing the end into the soil. When their ends are pushed in they tend to rot instead of grow. Instead, place them on top of the soil, curved end up, and they should make a small flower on the top surface and shoot roots out from the bottom. Good luck!Helpful Reply

Lavende on Apr 17, 2014Yes, just lay them on top of the dirt. I know, it sounds strange but I've tried both and had much better success with just putting them there! I wrote an article about it not long ago: http://lavendeandlemonade.blogspot.com/2013/12/5-simple-steps-for-starting-succulents.htmlHelpful Reply

Claudia on Apr 19, 2014Your succulent is an Echeveria. If you Google it, you will see dozens of pictures on the various websites. They prefer bright light and dryer soil. Be careful....succulents are very addictive!Helpful Reply
