upgrade your house with modern ceiling lights
Start all electrical projects by turning off the power at the electrical panel.
Use blue tape to support the old light from the ceiling, yep this comes in handy when you only have 2 hands!!
Take a picture of the old wiring for a reference
Test wires with a voltage detector to be sure the power is off - getting shocked isn't fun or healthy my friend
Loosen nuts that hold light to the junction box.
Always wire the ground wires first.
