Washer fabric residue
-
Bobbie on Apr 18, 2014Mine is removable. If you look closely at the "cup" you may be able to see where it comes apart. I just have to tug on it a little bit and it comes off. I rinse it out with hot water and scrub the little openings with a brush. It also allows for pouring hot water into the area that the cup covers. Also, I noticed when I use vinegar as a fabric softener (like when washing towels) it seems to remove the residue that way.Helpful Reply

Jeri Harrison-Grace on Apr 18, 2014vinegar would be a good double duty for you, it is a great inexpensive way to soften your clothes AND it helps to keep your washer cleaner. IF you are afraid of everything smelling like vinegar, don't, but you can use a stronger scented laundry soap (provided you and your family doesn't have sensitive skin)Helpful Reply

The Garden Frog with C Renee on Apr 19, 2014As everyone states, the agitator cups pulls or twists off. Every so often I run mine through the dishwasher with other misc things I want cleaned. That is the easiest and least messy way to clean many things. Good luckHelpful Reply

Robin H on Apr 22, 2014Vinegar - definitely! You can actually use vinegar mixed with some baking soda dissolved in hot water (google for recipe and instructions because it foams A LOT!) as a fabric softener - and it really does work. The baking soda cancels out the vinegar smell so your clothes and stuff won't smell like an Italian salad!Helpful Reply
