under stairs ideas...

Hi! I need some help. In my living/dining room is the stairs to the floor above. I use that space to storage the vacuum mop etc. I thought about putting some nice fabric to hide all these things and i think it's a good and cheap solution but im stuck: dont know what to put in front of it! I need some drawers for storage but apart from that dont know what to do! Help!!!

Do you have a photo of the space? A curtain would be the simplest...and inexpensive. I love open shelving in random spaces like that. Using simple wicker baskets for storage and maybe building a little door on hinges to hide the vacuum and mop?
