Outdated Lamp With a New Yarn Wrapped Look

The last three times I had been to the thrift store, this 80's pastel peach colored lamp was sitting in the lamp section looking lost. I didn't have the heart to turn my back on it again and it was in good shape otherwise, do I took it home with me.
Because I had just come across some really fun and cozy skeins of yarn and I thought said lamp would be a perfect candidate for yarn wrapping.
The first thing I did was paint everything, even the lamp shade with off white chalk paint. I did tape off the lamp cord, though.
Next I started gluing the yarn onto the lamp from the bottom and kept working my way up to the top.
The improvement is beyond what I was hoping for.

It's great and you are beyond patient. Between my wreath and my easter eggs - my "wrapping things around stuff" days might be over, or at least on hold until I gear up to have another go at it! LOL.

@Me Myself & DIY I agree, sometimes wrapping can be tedious, but this project didn't take me nearly as long as I had expected.
