DIY Faux Floral Hanging Baskets

Tired of your "Not So Green Thumb"? Every year I buy beautiful hanging baskets from my local nursery only to have them shrivel up and die when the heat of the summer comes. This year I decided to create ones out of realistic, fake flowers. I love how they look and compared to some real ones I also bought, they look pretty darn good! Learn how to create your own on my blog at: http://www.lisascreativedesigns.com/lisascottageblog/2014/04/creative-spring-gardening-diy-faux-floral-hanging-baskets/

I have a metal sculpture in one corner of our yard where I was having so much trouble growing flowers. The heat in Texas can be brutal. I solved two problems by putting in silk flowers that we used to grow in northern Indiana. Now I have tulips, lilacs and no one seems to know the difference.

Yes going faux can be great! My baskets still look great and would have been all dried up a long time ago!
