I always wanted the heavy steel planters but at over 600.00 a piece I had to come up with something else.
Here I took used break drums off my husbands Mack truck, cleanned them up a bit and painted, tada steel planters.

I am so glad to see that I am not the only crazy one in life. I really thought they were so cool. I did mine in a tri-level with them in a triangle touching each other. Worked perfect! We have like 15 semi trucks so the mechanic is- My Son! So I can have them whenever they rebrake a truck. Thanks for sharing.

I had a hard time trying to figure out what a break drum was until I realized you meant brake drum. Who would have guessed old car parts could look so classy! Kudos for thinking outside of the box! (Or outside of the drum!)
