Why does hometalk post the before and after pics of projects and then
-
Shari on Apr 21, 2014Hi Jenni. When HomeTalk members share their projects here on this site, it is the member sharing the project who decides the order in which their photos appear. Somewhere I read that research shows if a poster wants maximum views on a site like this, it is typically better to show the "after" picture first because pretty (after) pictures usually grab most peoples' attention more readily than ugly (before) photos. You may even notice that some of the members here may only give you a "teaser" picture or two and just a few words to pique your interest. Those kinds of posts may seem incomplete but those who do that are generally bloggers who are trying to encourage you to follow a link over to their blog to see more of the project, and they are hoping once you get there you will like what you see and become a regular reader of their blog.Helpful Reply
