Can I use ceramic paints on things besides ceramics?

Roger S on Apr 22, 2014My Mother did ceramic dolls and vases when she was alive andused a good deal of ceramic paint. To the best of my knowledge this type ofpaint is made to be fired after it is dried and this brings out the final coloras well as sets the paint to a glass finish. With this in mind I would try it on some wood and when dry I would applya finish coat of a good sealer like Polyurethane to protect it and to check tosee if the color is affected. Good Luck!Helpful Reply
