I would like to know how to change colors of my grey concrete blocks

Jeanette S on Apr 23, 2014You can actually stain concrete instead of paining it. I painted my porch and it peels but my sister stained here some 25 years later and it does not peel! Look into this.Helpful Reply

Linda Straughn on Apr 29, 2014If you like a sandstone look (amber color), try iron sulfate. I did this three years ago to my concrete paver path, without sealing, and it has not faded. I used Copperas, it's a soil amendment you can find in garden supplies. Very inexpensive and not toxic to plants. Simply:1) wet the surface of the concrete 2) sprinkle on the granules 3) let it sit for a few hrs 4) rinse off. This method gives a little more variegation in color rather than mixing it with water and painting it on.Helpful Reply
