Make A Large Wall Clock From Old Side Table

by Deb Hrabik
It looked like trash - this old round side table. It was actually in the trash! We cut it apart and used the solid round wood for a large scale wall clock. It was a fun family project. I made a stencil for the roman numerals with cardstock and packaging tape. We purchased the large clock hands at Hobby Lobby. We used "Crumb Cooke" , an off white paint from Lowes. Having a brown under base, the sanding left some distressed edges which was just the look we were going for. We also worked on other projects like transforming an old dorm mirror and making this awesome upholstered pallet ottoman.
Another one of our family projects

How about using one of the old round tables with the screw on legs you see at nearly every garage sale or you can still buy for cheap!
