Stretch Canvas Chalk Headboard

My daughter's room needs a small makeover, but seeing as she only use it a couple of times a month, I do not want to buy expensive new furniture etc. I found a Stretch Canvas which was marked down from 220.00 to 20.00 {SA Rands}, used chalk paint, a drawing of her star sign and some fairy lights to make a headboard which suited her taste,
The star sign, with stars and clusters of stars where needed, fairy lights, chalk paint - all onto a stretch canvas. Her name and star sign are written in chalk, therefore she can always change it to something she likes {or even use the open spaces as a memo board}
The original rough sketch we used to guide us with punching holes for the fairy lights as well as the correct alignment. We did this 1st, then spray painted with chalk, left overnight and inserted the lights the next day.
Lights are off, but I think it still looks interesting enough ;-)
