Connie S on Apr 27, 2014Clear scratches too. I would make sure everything that sits on them has non marring bottom padding added. Felt , etc. You can buy all kinds of sizes and shapes of premade stick on felt shapes just for this purpose.Helpful Reply

Polly Zieper on Apr 27, 2014I'd also put those felt circles on the bottom of the lamp, clock or anything else. The back is sticky.Helpful Reply

Shari on Apr 27, 2014The last thing you probably want to do after buying furniture (furniture is ex-peeen-sive!), is spend more money but I think having glass cut for the nightstand and dresser tops would be a wise investment, especially since I saw your other post where this furniture is for your teenage granddaughter. More than likely, if she is like any normal teenager, she (or her friends) will be setting glasses down on the furniture without a coaster, spilling makeup, nail polish, polish remover etc. Any of these things could spell disaster for the furniture, even with a protective top coat (which I, personally, would not do because even "non-yellowing" could change the color of the furniture and self-applied is rarely ever as good as factory finishes).Helpful Reply

Becky Cabrera on Apr 27, 2014Thanks Connie. I did have them on the lamp feet. We've only had this furniture a few weeks and I'm concerned it's too easy to mar with such little use.Helpful Reply

Peg on Apr 29, 2014I also from day one have had glass tops made for all tops of my 3 daughters bedroom furniture.........not expensive either. Call a glass business in your area. You'll save the lifetime with all your furniture! :)Helpful Reply

Pat on Apr 30, 2014Sometimes you can get "used glass" from a glass shop. I did that for my bedroom dresser and worked great. Even new thin glass is not that expensive.Helpful Reply
