Make a big impact for not a lot of money with a gallery! Armed with Ikea frames, craft paint, and free printables, you too can make your own. design
First, I'll show you how to make custom mats.
Buy some Ikea Ribba frames
Paint the mats
Here I used some metallic gold craft paint and a stencil
Here I used black chalkboard paint to make a matte black look.
Insert the photos and prints into the frames and hang on the wall. To try the design out before I hung the pictures, I used paper to get the spacing just right. Then, I measured the width with painters tape and then centered my nail on the tape. When I hung up the frame I took the tape off and they were all evenly spaced. {if you need further clarification, look for tips on pinterest. This saves so much time!}
It's so fun now to see my entry with lots of art!
I also made a pallet "hello" sign that goes right above my coat hooks.
I simply nailed pallet boards together and added the wood-cut words.
Gorgeous in gold, no?

    Very nicely done! I luv it all but I have one small possible suggestion... Consider adding a mirror to the pallet. It's always a nice thing to have a mirror in the entryway plus it would be extra cute with the “hello” part. Oh now I wish it said “hello beautiful”. Ha!

    I love this! I want to place a similar sign in our entry, but I may paint the 'hello' a robin's egg blue with an undertone of pewter (& distress it a bit). Thanks for the idea!
