How I Transformed a Curb Found Dresser Into a Media Center-t.v. Stand

I was alerted to this free find by a friend on New Year's Eve--Out I went in the dark to snatch it up without even being able to see what it looked like until the light of day on New Year's Day. Then it sat in storage waiting for it's magnificent makeover.
Between the 6 drawers, there were only 4 guides. I decided to remove the top 2 drawers in order for it to be a media center. On the remaining 4 drawers I used some thin plywood and small picture frames to make one large drawer look like 2 smaller drawers.
I stained the drawers and added label pulls
Some white paint, new trim on the bottom, and some industrial looking wheels give this piece a newer more trendy look. LOVE it! See all the details here: http://bit.ly/1k75Fv2

Lillian Chapman on May 01, 2014I don't usually like wood and paint together but you did a great job. I have 2 dressers in the basement I really need the drawer space now I know what to do . Thanks for the idea. Lily C Canada
