Do you know the origin of Mother's Day in the US? Read about it, and see details of my brunch tablescape in the blog post below, using vintage goods collected. Enjoy your time with loved ones this Mother's Day, May 11.
Brunch tablescape for four is set in mostly white, using Mikasa's 'Magnolia' china (1982-1988), and Oneida's Bordeaux Silverplate Prestige (1945).
Depression glass stemware, with an iridescent base, blushes in pink.
Using sterling and silverplate pieces, the table is set for a light brunch fare. Sweetmeat baskets were popularized in the Victorian era, and are still used for serving sweets (in this case, strawberries). Early American Brilliant Period glass pitcher is ready for a batch of mimosas or juice.
