Concrete Garden Orbs

We're just beginning to get greenery here in the Northeast and these fun orbs add a little bit of fun to our patio garden bed. I read a post by the amazing Little Green Notebook and had to immediately go and make many concrete garden orbs. Last year, I made a bunch of planters, but these are even simpler and... VERY cool. Viewer beware: there is some glass breakage that occurs in the making of this project. Given how many of these glass orbs I see at the thrift store, I'm not sure people really use them so... concrete orbs.

Fje3375475 on Feb 25, 2016I have done this project using different size rubber balls from the dollar store. When cement is dry, three days, use a utility knife to cut the ball away. To get the cement into the ball you just cut a small hole in the top. sit the ball on a plastic flower pot and it will remain round while it dries.
